I'm sad nobody read my last entry! Oh well! Anyways, this will not be a real entry i'm sorry to say, this is because I am praciticing my speech the rest of the night. What is this speech? It is for my class president representative of our community service program. Our community service program, which I cant say the name for, is very highly looked upon at my school. Here's my speech! I bleeped out the stuff that reveals things...

"Hi, My name is Emma *********. Like many of you out other there, I love to shop. But, its too bad my parents don’t and they don’t like spending money – especially now.

After all, what’s better than buying a new outfit? – Well, actually, there is something better, something that brings a smile to someone else’s face, rather than just your own. – That is, helping other people in all sorts of ways, ways that make a difference in their lives. Bringing food to the hungry, teaching a young child something he didn’t know before. That’s what makes for true joy and lasting happiness – that feeling of giving. And that’s why I’m here today running for **********.

Why vote for me? For those of you who know me, you know that once I sink my teeth into something I don’t let go. – Sort of like a nasty dog biting a mailman. I work hard and I’m organized. And when I set my mind to doing something that I believe in I get things done. But, you also know that I’m a people person. I get along with people; I think this job requires someone who is good with working with other people and getting people to work together in a friendly collegial way. Without that, community service here won’t be effective. I know I have the right skills and temperament to do just that.

Just two weeks ago, I registered voters down in PA. That was interesting because I was able to help all sorts of people who hadn’t registered before, and then registered to vote in this pres. election, that’s where civic responsibility starts. Here at ********, we’re lucky to be getting a great education at a wonderful school but we have an obligation to help others who need help, and fortunately the school encourages us to get involved in community service. My time is almost up, but the most important thing I can do if I’m elected is to get as many of you as possible to work with me on all sorts of different projects. From the midnight runs to teaching kids at ******** or spending the holidays with the kids in **********. In closing, I’ll use Obama’s slogan, *********(MY LAST NAME) is real hope we can believe in.
